Pet in Chat (the "Platform") places the utmost importance on your privacy and the security of your personal data in the pet-parent community services we provide through our mobile application.

1.1. Data Responsibility

Information in your user profile — such as your age, gender, your pets and their species and breed, and the activities you are up for — is shared with other platform users so that pet-parent matching can be performed. In line with our privacy principles, your private messages and your conversations in voice rooms are never sold or shared with third parties or advertisers.

1.2. Device Permissions

While using the app, the following permissions are required on your device:

  • Camera and Gallery: Used so you can upload a profile photo or share images during chat.
  • Microphone: Required so you can talk in voice rooms and send voice messages.
  • Location: Used to accurately detect and list pet parents, veterinarians and lost-pet alerts near you.
  • Notifications: Used to provide instant updates about new matches, messages, and contest invitations.

1.3. Categories of Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we process the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: email address, phone number, date of birth, name, bio, and profile photo.
  • Location data: approximate latitude/longitude and derived city/country, used for nearby-owner matching.
  • Device data: a hashed device identifier, IP address, application version, and push-notification token.
  • Usage data: in-app activity events, crash reports, and session information, used to keep the service stable and to improve it.

Your private messages and your conversations in voice rooms are never sold or shared with third parties or advertisers.

1.4. Account Deletion and Data Retention

You can deactivate your profile or delete your account entirely at any time from the in-app settings menu. Both self-service account deletion and data deletion are available inside the application. The personal data of deleted accounts is permanently removed from our systems.

1.5. Pubblicità e fornitori terzi

Non mostriamo annunci sul nostro sito (petinchat.com); gli annunci compaiono nell'app Pet in Chat dopo l'accesso, erogati da Google AdMob nel piano gratuito, e un abbonamento Plus, Gold o Premium li disattiva. Lo script di Google AdSense viene invece eseguito sulle nostre pagine web, quindi lì possono essere impostati cookie pubblicitari di Google. I fornitori terzi, incluso Google, utilizzano cookie e identificatori pubblicitari mobili per pubblicare e misurare gli annunci in base alle tue visite precedenti a questo e ad altri siti o app. Gli inserzionisti non ricevono mai i tuoi messaggi privati, le tue conversazioni nelle stanze vocali o i tuoi dati di contatto: la selezione degli annunci si basa sui dati di cookie e identificatori raccolti da Google, non sul contenuto delle tue conversazioni. Sul Web i cookie pubblicitari vengono impostati solo dopo l'accettazione della categoria "Marketing"; su iOS puoi inoltre rifiutare il tracciamento delle app. Puoi disattivare la pubblicità personalizzata quando vuoi nelle Impostazioni annunci Google.
